Setting up Netscape Internet Mail to Access Your POP3 Account

Netscape Internet Mail Settings

  1. Your Name > Enter your name
  2. E-mail Address > Enter the e-mail address of the POP3 Account your are setting up here ie. sales@yourdomain.com
  3. Reply to > This is the same as your e-mail address above i.e.sales@yourdomain.com
  4. Mail Server username >The username is the entire e-mail address all lower case i.e. sales@yourdomain.com
  5. Incoming mail> Enter the specific information provided in your "Welcome to The Great E-scape!" letter i.e. mail.yourdomain.com
  6. Outgoing mail > Enter your ISP's outgoing SMTP mail server. Your ISP will provide you with this information. Please contact them if you don't have it.

Netscape Communicator

  1. After loading Netscape Composer, choose "Edit" -> "Preferences"
  2. Click on "Identity"
  3. Add your personal information.
  4. Click on "Mail Server."
  5. The SMTP server is your ISP's outgoing mail server
  6. For "incoming mail server" > Enter the specific information provided in your "Welcome to The Great E-scape!" letter i.e. mail.yourdomain.com.
  7. Put your username in the "Mail server user name" box. The username is the entire e-mail address all lower case for the POP3 Account you are setting up here i.e. sales@yourdomain.com

Netscape Navigator

  1. After loading Netscape Navigator, choose "Options" --> "Mail and News Preferences"
  2. Click on "Identity"
  3. Add your personal information.
  4. Click on "Servers."
  5. The SMTP server would be your ISP's SMTP outgoing mail server
  6. Put your username in the POP user ID: box.The username is the entire e-mail address all lower case i.e. sales@yourdomain.com
