The cPanel Scripts Library is a special selection of scripts The Great E-scape® makes available to our hosting clients. The specific script selection available depends upon the hosting package selected. Please e-mail to request any additional scripts be made available.

Each script is simple to understand and implement. Scripts have only a few options or requirements.

Installation

First, set up an administrative user name and password.

Second, select a location to install the script. The installation location must be in a top level folder located in the “public_html” folder or the root folder.

Example

Acceptable Installation Folder: yourdomain.com/folder/

Not-Acceptable Installation Folder: yourdomain.com/folder/folder/

Once the script has been installed the files may be moved to a new location as long as the configuration files are updated.

Once a script has been installed successfully, a link to the administrative section of the script will be made available if it is necessary. Not all scripts need this; however if it is made available, then this is where all the script functions, settings and options are created. Please, remember to document the location of the link and the administrative user name and password so that changes will be able to be made later.

Once a script has been installed, returning to the section of cPanel where the script was installed will present two options.

Updating: where any newer version of installed program or script will be made available.

Delete: where an installed script or program may be deleted.

Requesting Approval for an Addon Install

If you see "Submit Moderation Request" and click on it, you will be taken to another page.

Here, you contact Merlyn to request permission to install this addon script. After you click on "Submit Request," an approval or denial message will be sent e-mailed to you approving or denying the installation request.

If your request is approved, the addon will be installed automatically and you may begin using it once you receive the e-mail. If your request is denied, the addon will not be installed. E-mail if you believe you have been denied in error.
