Setting Up Real Audio/ Real Video

We DO NOT have Real Audio server software running on our servers. However, you can steam RealMedia files by following these instructions:

You will need to create a .ram file that calls your real audio or video file. The .ram file is a text file with an absolute URL. This URL should be like the one below:
http://www.yourdomain.com/filename.rm (Replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain name.)

Typically, you'll create a realmedia file subdirectory and put all your audio and video files there. For example, http://www.yourdomain.com/realmedia/

Then you create a .ram file (a metafile), which contains an address like this:
http://www.yourdomain.com/realmedia/filename.rm
The address goes in the .ram, NOT in your HTML code. Your HTML code calls the .ram (or metafile). Then the .ram (the metafile) is used to call up the .rm file in the realmedia directory. So your HTML code would look something like this:
<a href="http://www.yourdomain.com/realmedia/greatsong.ram">Click here to listen to music.</a>
